Server Virtualization Spending for 2010

I just got quick preview of upcoming ESG research regarding IT spending in 2010.

  1. The majority of organizations indicate increased IT spending in 2010.
  2. Server virtualization is a top IT priority and the top area for increased spending.
  3. 59% of respondents indicate increased spending in server virtualization in 2010 as compared to 45% in 2009.
  4. Business process improvement, security, compliance, and improved business intelligence are all more important than they were a year ago.
